Risk management is one of the most important skills that pilots are expected to acquire to ensure the safe and successful management of flight.

The main aim of this project is to develop a new approach to pilots' training which emphasizes the integration of new material derived through direct experience into pilots' behaviour and to test the utility of this new training method for improving novice pilots' risk-management behaviour (i.e., decision-making). Crucial to this is understanding the cognitive mechanisms that facilitates skill development.
